Moseley Park and Pool

An oasis in the heart of the city

A green oasis just two miles from Birmingham city centre with beautiful parkland, a lake, meadows, woodland, a historic ice house and a bog garden.

Moseley Park and Pool is run by a charitable trust, which cares for the park and makes sure it is open for everybody to enjoy on Wednesdays and other community open days. Our generous subscribers, who make it possible for us to care for the park, can enjoy it 365 days a year.

How to find The Park And Pool

There are three different entrance gates, all in Moseley, Birmingham (B13):

The postcode for our main Alcester Road gate is B13 8DD.

The park is within easy walking distance both the new Moseley Station and Moseley Car Park.

Moseley Station is on the new Camp Hill line: from 7th April 2026, trains will run roughly every 30 minutes in the daytime from New Street, or from Kings Norton, Pineapple and Kings Heath stations. Once you arrive in Moseley, exit the station with M&S opposite you: turn right down St Mary’s Row towards the main junction (don’t cross at the first smaller traffic lights you see near the station). When you reach the Alcester Rd, cross over at the big traffic lights towards Boo coffee shop, then turn right along the Alcester Rd until you reach Dixons Estate Agents. Just after Dixons you’ll see an alleyway with a big sign for Moseley Park and Pool! For train times, visit www.westmidlandsrailway.co.uk.

Moseley Car Park (B13 8HJ) is on the Alcester Road near to the central Moseley traffic lights, opposite the Post Office. It is a Pay and Display car park which you can pay for with the machine or using an app. From Moseley Car Park, turn right along the Alcester Rd towards the big central traffic lights: there, cross towards Boo coffee shop, and follow the Alcester Rd towards Dixons Estate Agents. Just after Dixons you’ll see an alleyway with a big sign for Moseley Park and Pool.

There is limited on street parking locally, which is subject to parking restrictions and is often very busy, especially outside working hours and at weekends.

Opening times

The park is open to everybody via our Main Alcester Road entrance between 10am and 4pm every Wednesday, on Farmers’ Market Days (usually the last Saturday of the month, but check on their website), and on some other days. Check the events page for our current community opening hours.

It is open for Subscribers to access every day, between the following times:

Spring         6am to 8pm   (1 March to 31 May)

Summer     5am to 9pm   (1 June to 31 August)

Autumn      6am to 8pm   (1 September to 30 November)

Winter         6am to 6pm   (1 December to 28/29 February)

NB: Outside these times, the electronic gates automatically lock and your key will stop working – so you won’t be able to enter or exit through them. Please make sure you leave plenty of time to get to the exit before the gates lock in the evening.

Please note, that during special events, access to certain areas of the park will be reserved to ticket holders only.

Subscriptions

Subscribe now for daily access

The park has no regular external funding, so relies on its generous subscribers to look after the site and make sure everyone can enjoy it. Outside our community opening hours, our subscribers can visit every day by using their own electronic key fob at any of our 3 entrances.

You can sign up for an annual subscription online, and then collect your key fob from the park by arrangement with the Land Manager, or from Moseley Travel at 172 Alcester Rd (opposite Damascena), B13 8HJ.

If you have a property on Salisbury Road or Chantry Road with a garden gate to the park, you need a different subscription (available via the same link above).

If you have any questions about Subscribing and key fobs, please email subscriptions@moseleypark.co.uk.
