Main entrance closed 7th-8th March 2024

March 5, 2024

(also closed to vehicles Thursday 7th March to Sunday 10th March)

We’re delighted that the alleyway between Dixons and Moseley Hive, which leads to our main Alcester Road entrance gate, is being resurfaced this Thursday 7th and Friday 8th March!

However, this means our main Alcester Road Gate will be closed to everybody for the whole of those two days: all day and evening on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th of March, our key holders, residents, and visitors attending events in the Park will need to access the Park via the Salisbury Road and Chantry Road entrances.

We’re really sorry for any inconvenience this may cause local people or businesses: however, we’re delighted that the entrance is on its way to becoming a more pleasant, welcoming and accessible space for everybody! Huge thanks to all the lovely dedicated folk at several local organisations for making this happen…

Please note that for those two days the only accessible route into the Park will be the Salisbury Road entrance, because the Chantry Road entrance can only be reached via a long flight of steps. Our Rangers team have been hard at work this week making sure the Salisbury Road entrance pathway is accessible for visitors using mobility aids (see photos below).

If you’d like more detailed access information about the Park And Pool, you can find it on our website at If you have any more questions about access, please email

For service vehicles accessing the Park, and drivers who need to access the Parking areas outside the main Alcester Road gate, the entrance and alleyway will be completely closed to vehicles for four days, from Thursday 7th to Sunday 10th inclusive: please make alternative arrangements.
